The GRMN Yaris is a finely tuned variant of the GR Yaris, developed in collaboration with professional drivers and limited to just 500 units. It offers three distinct options: the “Base Grade,” the “Circuit Package” engineered for ultimate road performance based on insights from the Super Taikyu Series, and a dealer-installed option for the “Base Grade” influenced by feedback from the All Japan Rally Championship. Responding to this, we’ve introduced a “Rally Package” featuring components enhancing drivability across various road surfaces.
It incorporates a cross-gear ratio transmission and low final gear set honed in motorsport settings. The gear ratios are closely spaced for 1st to 4th gears, optimizing engine power utilization, coupled with a low final gear for enhanced driving force. Additionally, for increased endurance race reliability, 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th gears, and the final gear have been treated with SNCM material and shot treatment, significantly boosting shock torque and fatigue strength.
Moreover, lightweight and rigid carbon (twill weave CFRP) are utilized for the hood, roof, and rear spoiler, while the rear seats have been removed, reducing seating capacity to two and making it even more appealing than the GR Yaris “RZ High Performance.” This results in a weight reduction of approximately 20 kg. Reservations will be accepted through a lottery system on the TGR website from January 14th (Friday) to February 28th (Monday), with the release scheduled at GR Garages nationwide starting from summer 2022.
