The AGE Requirement
Maximum 5 years old from the date of manufacture.

Mandatory Inspection (Japan)
Vehicles must undergo a JAAI (Japan Auto Appraisal Institute) or JEVIC inspection at the leaving port in Japan.
This certificate is mandatory for customs clearance and verifies the vehicle’s age, chassis number, and overall condition before it leaves Japan.
Country of Origin
The vehicle must be shipped directly from Japan to Bangladesh.
Current 2026 trade policies require strict documentation proving the car was manufactured in the country of export.
Port of Entry
Arrival via Chittagong Port or Mongla Port.
In 2026, many importers prefer Mongla for RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipments due to streamlined processing times.

Procedures & BRTA Registration
Step 1: Selection & L/C: Select your vehicle from our auction feed and open a Letter of Credit (L/C) at your local bank.
Step 2: Japanese Inspection: We arrange the mandatory JAAI/JEVIC inspection at the port of departure in Japan.
Step 3: Clearance: Upon arrival, your clearing agent submits the Bill of Entry and pays the required duties to the NBR.
Step 4: Registration: Register with the BRTA. For a 1500cc car, 2026 registration costs are roughly Tk 30,000 – 37,000.
