Who we are?

The following constitutes a legally binding agreement between you, the customer, and Nexuss International Company Ltd., the owner and operator of nexusscars.com.

By using this site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using this site. Any claims related to the use of or orders placed on this site must be immediately notified to the owners. Nexuss International holds firm legal rights, copyrights, and a privacy policy as detailed below.

Working Style and Procurement

Nexuss International primarily operates as a portal site, connecting customers with vehicles available at Japanese auction companies and other used vehicle selling portals in Japan.

We are not responsible for local import rules, regulations, or if a vehicle is refused entry into the customer’s requested country.

Nexuss International does not generally hold sufficient personal stock for the sale of used vehicles.

All requests made with Nexuss are considered requests to acquire a vehicle from local Japanese auctions and other used vehicle selling portals in Japan.

We provide assistance and advice in securing the right vehicle for you from Japan.

We are not responsible for misunderstandings regarding any vehicle shown on our database being perceived as our stock, unless explicitly specified otherwise.

Advertisements in our Newsletter and E-mails may feature vehicles exchanged directly from end-users, which are available for sale.

An invoice copy of a purchase made on the customer’s behalf serves as a supporting document for trust and open information exchange.

Vehicle purchasing is initiated only after customer confirmation and the receipt of a token money deposit.

Token money can be easily transferred online using Paypal & major credit cards. (See Online Payments section).

We accept the responsibility of arranging exports and all related processes for sending vehicles out of Japan.

We are not responsible for local import rules, regulations, or if a vehicle is refused entry into the customer’s requested country.

Standards / Laws of Importing Countries

The Customer is solely responsible for confirming the import standards, taxes, and other charges with the relevant authorities in their country before making a purchase from us.

Nexuss International will not accept any claim related to taxes or other charges incurred in your country.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

🔎 Vehicle Inspection Services

The following fees apply for optional inspection services:

  • Private Vehicle Inspection: Minimum US$20 per vehicle.
  • Private Photo Session: Minimum US$20 per vehicle (only for limited auctions).
  • JAAI Inspection: Minimum JPY 25,000 (approx. US$200) per vehicle. Repairs, if needed, will incur an extra charge.
  • In some cases, Nexuss International may need to re-channel transportation through a stockyard to provide certain services (like a full photo session). In such cases, the onward local transportation cost to the port of discharge will be charged to the customer.

🔨 Auction Bidding (Independent)

  • Nexuss International acts as an intermediary agent in Japan, calculating all risks and benefits.
  • Customers are prohibited from bidding on their own unless proper written permission is granted by us.
  • Extra support is provided for foreign dealers who move a large volume of vehicles monthly.
  • Only internet bids are accepted from outside Japan.
  • Auction venues and recent finished auction data are not provided online. Upon request, we provide data of incoming and sold vehicles from all auctions.
  • Any mistakes or discrepancies occurring during independent bidding are the sole responsibility of the individual.
  • Separate advance deposit terms and conditions are required for independent bidding.

📜 Auction Rules (General Claim Conditions)

N.B.: These rules apply to all vehicles in Japan as stated by all major auction houses.

A. Claims will ONLY be accepted if ALL of the following conditions are met:

  1. The vehicle’s confirmed contract amount is above JPY 280,000.
  2. Claimed damages are between JPY 30,000 and JPY 200,000.
    • The Buyer shall bear JPY 29,999 as a repair cost per car.
  3. The vehicle is made in Japan.
  4. The age of the vehicle is less than 10 years.
  5. For engine and transmission trouble, the number of miles driven is less than 100,000km.
  6. The Buyer notifies the Seller of any claim in writing within 7 days after the arrival of the Products at the destination specified in the bill of lading.
  7. The details of the claim are reported to the Seller in writing within 7 days after the notice in condition 6.
  8. The payments have been made according to this Agreement.

B. The Seller shall NOT be liable for the following:

  1. Interior damages judged as minor, non-essential to mention, or invisible (e.g., scratches, cigar burns, stains, and cuts).
  2. Missing or damaged interior equipment (e.g., shift knobs, headrests, sunshades, spare tires, and remote controls).
  3. Exterior damages judged as minor, non-essential to mention, or invisible (e.g., scratches, tiny dents, holes, and small rust).
  4. Consumable parts such as oil, tires, AC gas, snow tires, aftermarket wheels (if not mentioned), or missing wheel lock nuts.

💰 Hammer Price Rules and Fees

The Hammer Price is disclosed to all customers on the same day of the auction (or the next day for Tenders).

Our service fees, as published on this website, will be charged as a basic fee on top of the Hammer Price.

For successful hammer bids above JPY 1.0M, an extra surcharge of 3% to 5% will be applied.

We reserve the right to reject any bid.

GAO Stock Charges: JPY 34,500 per vehicle. Please request a separate quotation.

Private photos and Private inspections are not available for certain auctions and Tender auctions.

Domestic Land Transport (to the port of loading) is included in the basic service fee (Approx. JPY 10,000).

Regular outbound shipping is restricted to major ports (Nagoya, Yokohama & Osaka). If a vehicle is targeted from remote corners of Japan, transportation charges to bring it to the nearest port will be overcharged (see Inland Transportation).

For Sedans & small cars, inland transportation to major ports will also be surcharged.

It is highly recommended that you discuss the auction venue before asking to bid.

💳 Payment Terms

100% of the payment is required and bank-confirmed before we board a vehicle on a ship.

We accept only T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) or Cash (from visiting customers).

We also accept advance payments and guarantees via Paypal online.

The process of buying and/or shipping is initiated only once we receive money guarantees from the customers.

L/C (Letter of Credit) or Bank/Crossed Cheques are NOT accepted.

We accept payment in all recognized international currencies.

Bank-Charges/Commissions are charged to customers.

Payments must reach and be confirmed by Nexuss International authorized banks no later than 15 days from the purchase date.

  • Defaulters may be penalized at JPY 1,000 per day per vehicle after two weeks.

Paypal online payment acceptance can be terminated anytime without prior notice as per Paypal rules and regulations.

💲 Service Charges

FOB Japan charges are quoted as our service charges.

Separate surcharges for auction negotiation fees and inland transportation may apply. Please refer to the Inland Transportation and Hammer Price Rules sections above.

🚢 Shipment & Insurance

Shipping is arranged by the first available ship after the confirmation of full payment.

All documents (Insurance, Export-Certificate, and BILL OF LADING) are sent by EMS couriers within one week after shipment. Delays in B/L may occur due to amendments or corrections.

Freight charges are calculated based on:

  • A. Volume / Weight of the Vehicle.
  • B. Destination Port and Currency Exchange rates.
  • C. If opting for a Container, charges are calculated per container basis.
  • Exact freight charges will be calculated at the time of shipment.

Basic insurance coverage is included in the quoted “Ocean Charge.” This coverage is for total loss, disasters, acts of God, and damages clearly due to the negligence of the carrier.

Cars are not locked in Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) cases. Therefore, insurance will not cover the risk of petty thefts.

We will not bear responsibility for financial loss or damage caused by shipping delays, as we have no control over shipping schedules, bad weather, heavy traffic, overbooking, acts of war/terror, and/or their prevention.

Upon your request, we can arrange for extra insurance at 2% upon the declared invoice value.
