For 2026, the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) continues to enforce import duties based on vehicle age and engine size. While Ghana does not have a “Dumping Fee” like Tanzania, older vehicles (pre-2016) may attract higher Excise Duty due to engine size classifications and lower CIF valuation.
We recommend importing vehicles manufactured between 2016 and 2022 to maximize value for money and ensure smoother port clearance at Tema Port.
Vehicles over 10 years old (pre-2016): May face higher duties due to lower CIF valuation and engine size-based Excise Duty calculations.
